24 Hours

There are 24 hours in a day.  That’s 1,440 minutes, or 86,400 seconds.  It’s really not a long time.  The clock is ticking.  Some days seem long, but the weeks just fly by.  So where do we go, what do we do?  We use TIME!

I’ve designed four major elements to use in order to spend our days as fully and happily as possible.  These four elements are treasures, interactions, motivations, and essentials.

Treasures is probably my favorite element of TIME.  Treasures are the things in life that are our gifts, the things we cherish the most.  I believe that everyone deserves the time every day to do the things that they love to do.  A treasure could be as simple as singing in the shower, or walking the dog.  Or, perhaps, you have a favorite hobby such as reading.  Whatever your precious heart desires, always make sure that you take the time to do it and enjoy it each and EVERY day of your life.  Try new things, find new treasures.  Just please don’t forget to make time for yourself.  For life is much too short and you never know what tomorrow may bring.

Interactions are another incredibly important aspect to our lives.  Our interactions and encounters with other people are how we create relationships and grow as individuals.  If we want to be happy and successful individuals in life, then we have to know how to work and communicate with other people.  We have to be able to speak to them, listen to them, and understand them.  Acknowledge other people.  Learn from them.  Help them.  Hear them.  Comfort them.  Whatever you do, whether it is your family, your friends, or a complete stranger that you just met, interact with other people on a daily basis.  Everyone deserves at least a smile. 🙂

It is so crucial to have motivations in life.  Motivations are the basis for our goals.  We should always create goals, or resolutions, so that we have a reason to keep going and to keep working hard.  There are so many reasons to do your best and to love your life.  We live on a beautiful planet full of so many amazing opportunities.  Never lose your sense of hope.  Work hard and chase your dreams, because it will pay off in the end.

The final element of TIME is the essentials.  We all have things we just HAVE to do every day.  Sometimes we don’t want to do them, and sometimes they prove to be challenging for us, but like everything else in life, they hold a purpose.  For instance, can you imagine how gross it would be if no one ever brushed their teeth or wore deodorant?  YUCK!  So, for these essential things that you may or may not want to do, just keep doing them unless you are provided with an alternative that allows you to stop and do something better.  Your amount of effort and work will be rewarded in the end.  A little challenge never hurt anybody.

We live life on a ticking clock.  No one knows when this clock will stop.  So please spend your time wisely, my friends.  Cherish the moment.  Make memories with friends and family.  Laugh often, love much.  Try your best and hope for the best.  Everything is going to work out.  It just takes TIME. 🙂

Which of my above four elements of time do you consider the most important?  Why?  I can’t wait to hear from you!  Thank you for reading.  Happy spring!

Nice job! Treasures are the best part of my time! My treasures are meditation, yoga, reading, taking walks, sunsets, sunrises, enjoying music and friends, great food, etc, etc, etc. Never enough treasure time! Namaste 🙂
