Go With The Flow

Wouldn’t it be perfect if everything in life could go exactly as we planned?  Life is not perfect though; life is messy.  We learn this at an early age, and yet we are so prone to become agitated when things don’t go our way.  In order to find the happiness that we desire, we must learn to go with the flow.  We have to remember that in the end we are all one.  Sometimes this will mean that we have to put the needs of others before ourselves.

If there is one thing I’ve learned in life so far, it’s that change is inevitable.  Life consists of so many plot twists and how you handle them really reflects who you are as an individual.  You can be a peacemaker and enter a situation with as much optimism as possible, or you can fight the situation and cause more problems than you even started with.  It’s really up to you.  It’s not always easy to go with the flow, and you won’t necessarily be rewarded 100 percent of the time, but it will be worth it more often than not.

The secret to a more peaceful and happy life is compromise. It has been said that, “compromise is not about losing.  It is about deciding that the other person has just as much right to be happy with the end result as you do.” Sometimes going with the flow means putting our wants and needs aside for the sake of other people.  Always keep in mind that we are all one, and we all deserve to be heard in this world.

In the end, everything is going to work out.  I don’t know when and I don’t know how, and I may not even know why, but I can tell you that I am sure that it will.  Is it really necessary to have that extra argument with someone just so that things can go your way?  If you are really doing your best to go with the flow, then you have to learn to compromise.  We are all on the same boat, just trying to sail off to different shores.

As a society, why do you think we often struggle to make compromises with other people?  I would love to hear from you!  Thank you for reading.  I appreciate your support.
