How wonderful does it feel when someone compliments you or gives you a few words of encouragement? If you are like me, kind words can be the best gift you ever receive, especially on a bad day. Many of us struggle with confidence and sometimes a few words of encouragement or a helpful hand are all we need to keep going. With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, it’s important to remember to spread love with everyone around us, regardless of how close we are to them. Kindness goes a very long way, my friends.
Have you ever had one of those days when you feel unwanted? Like nobody cares? Maybe you have been fortunate enough to avoid these feelings, but these emotions are normal and are bound to happen to everyone at some point, and when that times comes, they really hurt. Doesn’t it make you feel so much better when someone praises you or shows their appreciation towards you on days like these? It’s just enough to make you smile, to lift you up, and get you through the rest of your day. How often do little moments like these really occur, though? Wouldn’t you love for this to happen more often?
Do you ever find yourself passing by someone and not finding the courage to say hello to them? It’s common to feel this way, but we must be strong enough to do so if we truly want to build lasting relationships with others and want to improve our overall happiness. Plus, the more kindness and love we give to other people, the more we are bound to receive in return. Why not challenge yourself to say hello to everyone that you come into contact with, or at the very least give them a friendly wave or smile? Cheering someone else up can often feel just as good, as or even better than receiving the same amount of happiness.
Kindness and love go hand and hand. It is our job to make an effort and share these amazing gifts with the world. No act of kindness will ever be wasted. As the wise Amelia Earhart once said, “A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees.”
What, if anything, holds you back from spreading the love? How can you empower others to spread love? I look forward to hearing from you! Thank you for reading.
